In a speech delivered to Berklee students, Derek Sivers gives the following advice, which in retrospect is great advice for ANY subject you are learning.
- Focus, disconnect, and do not be distracted
- Do not accept their speed limit
- Nobody will teach you anything. You have to teach yourself.
- Learn from your heroes, not theirs.
- Don’t get stuck in the past.
- When done, be valuable.
