RIP.Steve.Jobs

Yesterday was very difficult because we all learned of Steve’s passing….

His death has definitely affected me and all of my family. Personally, I think of Steve every time I turn on my Mac, pick up my iPhone, control my Mac Mini server in the closet, or view something on our Apple TV. My two girls look at their iPods with a different appreciation, now. Today we were all watching news clips about his death on our Macs.

I just wish I could make such a difference in people’s lives like he did.

I feel sad for all of us left behind, but not for him. He did more in his 56 years than most people will ever do in three lifetimes.

To him I say,

“Congratulations on a life well-lived and thank you for being insanely great and having the courage to think different for all of us.”

Long live Steve!

The iPad

On September 26, 2011, in Art, Computers, Latest, Technology, by admin

Here’s one of the first commercials Apple put out with the launch of the original iPad model. I had not seen it (or remember seeing it) until a few days ago, when I came in contact with it while looking for something else, but some excerpts caught my attention. The obvious one is the wide user-base that it has appealed to and ended up acquiring over time. And given the fact that two years after its introduction, several negative reviews by market experts, and many failed attempts to capture the consumer imagination by other companies, the iPad still remains the one to beat, I have to admit and say .:. not bad, Steve, not bad.
